Condition
There is a gap between the top edge of the canvas and the frame. This could easily be rectified by fitting a new slip. There are artist's pinholes in all four of the corners. There is a section of canvas missing towards the centre on the top edge of the work. There are light marks to the top and right edges of the canvas possibly caused by the frame. There are some scuff marks in the top right corner of the canvas. There is an area of blooming within the model's hair. Under glass and held in a gilt plaster frame with minor losses. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no evidence of retouching.
