Condition
There are various patches of craquelure and four areas of finely cracked paint, probably caused by an impact to the reverse. The edges of the work have been chipped and scuffed. There are scratches towards the lower left edge where the canvas beneath is now visible. There are handling marks around the edges of the work. Held in a simple wooden frame. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals no evidence of retouching.
