Condition
There are some inconsistencies within the surface of the work towards the upper and lower edges, these may have been caused by impact from the reverse of the canvas. Strecher marks can be seen to the upper and lower edges. There is a light surface scratch towards the upper right edge. A small fleck of paint has been chipped away in the upper half of the figure. Held in a chrome wood and plaster frame.
Inspection under ultra violet light reveals a vertical line of retouching within the upper left quadrant. There also appears to be patches of retouching to the left of the window and directly below the centre of the window.
