Condition
There are areas of fine craquelure across the central band of the work, possibly caused by an impact to the reverse of the canvas. There is a minor scratch within the trees towards the left edge, and a spot of staining towards the lower left edge. The surface of the work is dirty and would benefit from a proffessional clean. Held in a gilt wood and plaster frame.
Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals no evidence of retouching.
