Work on original canvas. from a first hand inspection there are some folds of the canvas due to an incorrect tensioning. Over the top folds on the right there are few losses of pigments. Other 5 are visible along the lower edge. On the reverse there are 11 patches corresponding to restorations and retouches. The ultra violet light reveals a retouch (cm 13x15) right-hand side of the sky: this retouch is wider than the damage underneath. Two retouches are on the right-hand side of the peaks (cm 2x1 circa); other four (cm 3x3) on the left-hand side of the sky; an important restoration (cm 6x12) and two minor retouches over the lake (cm 25 from the left-hand side edge cm 2 from the lower edge). The light reveals fluorescent varnish dishomogeneously spread over the surface. It si suggested a careful cleansing.
