Very good overall condition;
Original canvas;
Image is slightly too pale, the face is slighlty pinker and the backgroung slightly darker than in the catalogue;
Few repaints under the right eye and along the frame on the right side.

Catalogue Note
Née Julie-Elisabeth-Sophie Gautier, fille de Jean-Antoine Gautier (1756 - 1800) et de Madeleine de Lessert (1767 - 1839) ,elle épousa son oncle François-Marie Delessert (1780 - 1868). Ce dernier fut député du 6ème arrondissement de Paris en 1831, puis de Boulogne sur Mer en 1838. Nommé Régent de la Banque de France au XIIème siège en 1848 pour succéder à son frère Benjamin décédé, il occupa ce poste jusqu'en 1849. Il a été nommé membre libre de l'Académie des Sciences en 1852 et aussi Président de la Caisse d'Epargne de Paris.
