comprised of a clock and two vases en suite, the dial signed Mitchell Vance Cie / New York, the French twin-train movement by Japy Frères and stamped CHles Mt / 27833, the pendulum similarly stamped.
Condition
Overall in very good condition. The vase finial most probably a later replacement as there are four small holes on top of the dome case. Slight tarnishing to gilt-bronze and very minor wear to enamel. Wear to elephants' ears. Pendulum, no key and there is a spring and a circular beaded washer which are detached but available in a bag.

The New York firm of Mitchell, Vance and Co. was known for Chinoiserie and Neo-Grec style decorations and they exhibited at numerous Expositions Universelles throughout the second half the 19th century.
