all sides fitted with bevelled glass and opening to three shelves, the gilt-bronze mount centering the cabinet depicting an allegory of Summer with a flower-filled basket, a sickle, a rake and a pipe.

Although no signatures have been found, the design of this cabinet is similar to other designs by the renowned Parisian firm Haentges Frères.
