on openwork rococo base cast and chased with dolphin heads, the stem formed as a twin-tailed mermaid supporting a silver nautilus shell body fronted by a Neptune mask and suspended with swags, the finial modeled as a infant Triton holding a wreath, marked on base and body

base has a space for insertion of a presentation plaque, screws attaching shell replaced in base metal, good condition
