the lid inlaid with a woven basket pattern parquetry within kingwood bandings and a bead-cast border, sides and keyboard lid fitted with musical trophy mounts, the ebony and ivory keys beneath a brass cursive inscription Erard, the carcass stamped with the serial number 292963.

Condition

Overall in good condition. The molded kingwood edge with visible seam marks consistent with the cabinetry making. The carcass overall with a glossy varnish finish. Some mounts recast later.
