Description
- height 7 ft. 5 in.; width 33 1/2 in.; depth 15 1/2 in.
- 226cm, 85cm, 39.5cm
white and black enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, the twin train movement numbered 3661, the clock case opening to the front with a visit door with sycamore and woven basket satiné parquetry within ebony and satinwood stringings.
Condition
The cabinetry with the usual dents, chips, nicks, scratches and dirt throughout consistent with age and use. Areas of lifting to veneer in many places with a large crack running vertically to the circular top of the carcass. All bronzes with dirt and tarnishing. The bronze cloud mount to the left and right side of the dial is stained black from an unidentified substance. Bronzes very loose around the carcass which will need to be tightened back with new hardware. The white enamel dial with hairline cracks around the key holes and losses showing the copper plate around the clock hands. The glass centering the visit door to the front is lacking. The bronze mount centering the door with two breaks to top and bottom. No winding keys, pendulum available. The pendulum support attached from movement but available.
