Description

  • height 6 1/2 in.
  • 16.5 cm
enameled with sprigs of violets and gilt leaves between borders of palmette devices around the neck, lower body and foot, K.P.M and orb mark in red, sceptre mark and letter M in blue. Minor restoration.

Condition

There is a narrow area of restoration extending around approximately 1/3 of the rim and curving down to about 1/4 in. at its deepest point. Although it is not possible to clearly determine the exact nature of the damage beneath the well-done restoration, it was likely a piece larger than a chip broken out or several chips to the rim. Otherwise, in good condition.
