Description

  • height 42 in.
  • 106.7 cm
by E. Grille, signed, painted with birds amidst poppies reserved within a gilt-edged cartouche on a sponged red and brown ground. Haircrack.

Condition

There is a large starcrush to the body of the vase to the right of the panel, just beneath the shoulder, extending 6 in. in three directions and into the upper right portion of the panel for 4 in. Additonally, there is a long haircrack extending downwards from the rim for the full length of the neck to the shoulder.
