Description

  • diameter 20 1/2 in.
  • 52 cm
painted, by P. Hoffman, signed,  with the 'Offering of Iphigenia' within a gilt-edged rectangular panel reserved on a claret ground decorated with gilt foliate scrollwork,  pseudo-shield mark in blue. Some restoration.

Condition

The handle to the left of the panel has been broken out and restored back with some regilding and overpainting to the claret ground along the break. Apart from this, some minor wear to the gilding of the handles and around the rim and some patches of discoloration to the gilding on the outside of the rim, probably caused by a hanging device, the tray is in generally good conditon.
