the clock with an enamel dial with Roman chapters above a plaque painted with a stag hunting scene, surmounted by an urn, the movement stamped with the number 552 and with the Japy Frères pastille, each covered two-handled vase painted with a hunting scene to the front and painted with a stag to the reverse within a gilt and beaded border.
Condition
Overall good condition; the clock case with rubbing and wear to the gilding, some beads lacking, front foot and right foot slightly loose; one vase slightly bent as socle and slightly loose from base, one handle slightly loose; each vase with rubbing and wear to the gilding and with some losses to the beads; overall the gilt bronze with minor areas of wear, dirt and oxidation consistent with age and use. One key, one pendulum.
