A pair of gilt-bronze mounted Sèvres style blue ground porcelain lidded vases Paris, circa 1880

each painted by and signed M. DEMONCEAUX, surmounted by a fixed lid above flowerhead trellis parquetry gilt-highlight decorated neck, the body finely painted in the round with Cupid and Venus on one and Cupid and Flora on the other, each back decorated with cupids and putti by a lakeside, mounted by large acanthus-cast handles and feet. 

All bronzes tarnished. One vase has a replaced lid, the other a replaced foot. All gilt-highlight decorations are in relief and in good condition but with traces of dirt and minor scratches and chips. The handles are screwed to the body from the inside but show from the front as well. Now showing ceramic filled sprut where the screws are.
