Description

  • height 18 1/2 in.
  • 47 cm
modelled in full relief as the bust of a bearded man holding a torch emerging from an oval cartouche, unmarked. Some restoration.

Condition

The protruding arm appears to have been broken away from the main oval plaque and restored back – the restoration is well done. There is a 2 by 1 in. area of restoration to the back edge of the plaque adjacent to the arm. The torch and the wrist holding it are restored. Three molded shells on the edge are restored. There are some minor small areas of restoration to the back edge of the plaque.
