the circular top with a Sevres style porcelain dish painted with a scene of eighteenth century courtiers in a garden within a foliate gilt border on a powder turqoise ground, within a foliate and S-scroll gilt-bronze band above a porcelain baluster stem on a tripartite foliate scroll base ending in castors. 

The porcelain dish in good condition with some minor surface scratches and very minor rubbing and wear to gilding. Base of porcelain baluster with over-painted restoration, later added stretcher mount to legs, gilt-bronze re-gilt. Overall with the usual minor scratches. Some areas of dirt to gilt-bronze.
