Condition
The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.:
This painting has been recently restored. The canvas seems to be unlined yet the tacking edges have been reinforced. There are also two visible reinforcements on the reverse of the canvas in the upper left. These reinforcements correspond to breaks in the canvas, one in the cloud in the upper left and the other beneath this cloud in the blue sky. The remainder of the picture is in lovely condition. The paint layer is clean, unabraded and there are no other retouches. The picture should be hung as is.
