Catalogue Note
The present work once belonged to Owen Burns an important land developer in Sarasota, Siesta Key and Lido Beach, Florida in the early twentieth century. Burns is perhaps best remembered for the 1926 construction of Cà d'Zan, John and Mable Ringling's Mediterranean Revival style waterfront mansion (and now part of the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Sarasota).
