STRUCTURE
This picture is relined and in very good condition.
CATALOGUE COMPARISON
The illustration is broadly representative but the outlines of the still life are more clearly defined.
PAINT SURFACE
The surface is in good condition with rich colouring and fine detail throughout. There are no signs of craquelure and the paint surface appears to be stable. The picture is clean and ready to hang.
UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
The varnish appears opaque and uneven under ultraviolet light but there are no obvious retouchings.
FRAME
This picture is contained in a plaster moulded frame.
