STRUCTURE:
The panel is in good condition, flat, with no sign of cracking.
SURFACE:
There are some traces of ingrained dirt to the varnish and markings along the right edge. Otherwise the paint surface is sound with an even varnish.
FRAME:
Held in a modern, composite gilt frame in fair condition.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT:
UV light reveals no sign of retouching.
COLOUR COMPARISON:
The colours are slightly darker and richer than the catalogue illustration suggests.
