Condition

In Full Cry STRUCTURE: Original Canvas; the structure is sound and secure. SURFACE: The paint surface is in good, clean condition with a light even varnish. FRAME: Held in a matching plaster gilt frame in fair condition. ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT: UV light reveals retouching to frame abrasions along the top edge as well as the upper right and left edges. There are few scattered spots of retouching in the sky. COLOUR COMPARISON: The colours are a little richer than the illustration suggests The Pack Splits STRUCTURE: Original canvas; the structure is sound and secure. SURFACE: The paint surface is in good, clean condition with a light even varnish. FRAME: Held in a matching plaster gilt frame in fair condition. ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT: UV light reveals a few scattered spots of infilling to the sky in the upper, right corner. COLOUR COMPARISON: The colours are generally richer and darker than the illustration suggests.
