STRUCTURE:
Relined.
SURFACE:
The paint surface appears to be in good stable condition and clean. There are some areas of fine cracquelure which are characteristic of this period.
UV LIGHT:
Under UV Light, fine retouchings appear along the top stretcher bar and surrounding the trees on the top left hand corner. Other fine and minor retouchings appear in areas on the still life.
FRAME:
Contained in a modern gilt wooden frame.
COLOUR COMPARISON:
The catalogue illustration is hot and the colours of the original are more defined and subtle.
