Condition
STRUCTURE:
Unlined.
SURFACE:
Fine surface craquelure appears throughout the canvas. The paint surface is stable and clean. One small puncture mark appears and loss of paint appears four inches above the sitter's head on the left hand side.
UV LIGHT:
Under UV Light there are minor retouchings to the plant in the top left corner, on the right arm of the model on the left side and on the left arm of the sitter on the right side. A few specks appear on the sitters faces and a few minor spots elsewhere.
FRAME:
Contained in an elaborate modern gilt frame with white insert. The picture is ready to hang.
COLOUR COMPARISON:
The colours are warmer and not as light as the catalogue illustration suggests.
