STRUCTURE:
Unlined. The canvas is slightly loose on its stretcher.
SURFACE:
The painting is in good original condition. The painting is dirty and should benefit from cleaning.
FRAME:
Contained in a modern gilt painted wood frame.
UV LIGHT:
Under UV light there appears to be minor spot retouchings, mainly in the sky. There are further retouchings to the top edge.
COLOUR COMPARISON:
The colours are darker in the original than the catalogue illustration suggests.
