Description

  • h.94cm., w.109cm., d.57cm.
mahogany, the moulded top above two short and three long drawers each fitted with possibly original gilt-brass escutcheons and handles, on replaced bracket feet

Condition

Very good, restored condition. The piece has been repolished in the last 100 years and there are some signs of grain filler showing through on the sides and top. The backboards and feet have been replaced as stated in the catalogue. There are signs a slide may have been fitted to the upper most long drawer, where there is some replaced timber to the tops of the drawer linings. There are minor old marks and scratches consistent with age and use. There is a small age crack to the upper left side and small repair to the corner moulding on the same side. The gilt metalwork is possibly original and is finely chased and very attractive.
