Description

  • h.269cm., w.121cm
carved giltwood, now with a pierced coronet and Prince of Wales plume cresting, the elaborate pierced surround carved with tracery and foliage headed by a hoho bird, re-gilt and some plates replaced

Condition

Generally good and attractive. There is a lost detail just above the head of the bird and the plume surmount is possibly associated. There are fractures in the lower left 'pagoda' that will require gluing. On the apron one of the four bell flowers is now lacking. Mirror glass attractive and generally tidy though with a few typical marks.
