Condition

STRUCTURE The canvas has been relined and the structure is sound. PAINT SURFACE The paint surface is in good overall condition with minior craquelure to the sky, the animals and a few further patches elsewhere. ULTRAVIOLET Examination under ultraviolet light reveals scattered retouchings in the horse and largest dog. There are some touches of repaint in the sky and foreground, along the right vertical edge and along the horizon line. FRAME: Held in a gilt wood frame. CONCLUSION The work is in good condition with bright colours and ready to hang.
