en ivoire tourné, à décor pyrogravé de bandes de motifs points cercles et de lignes concentriques. Belle patine laiteuse.
La forme de ces flacons à kôhl, utilisé pour le maquillage des yeux, trouve son origine dans les flacons coptes du Ve siècle ap. J.-C.

Condition
Good to fair condition overall. Wear consistent with age and use within the culture.
Some hairline cracks.
Tallest: rim of mouth chipped, approximately 2cm long.
Narrowest: upper section of stopper chipped in two places, approximately 3mm.
Please note that we have not opened this particular vessel as the stopper does not seem to come off readily.
