Description

centered with Avalokitesvara standing in tribhanga atop a lotus petal lappet pedestal, the left hip thrust out and the right leg slightly bent, the torso draped with a series of necklaces, the left arm along the side bearing a bottle, the right arm bent up holding a fly whisk, the hair drawn up into a chignon set with a crown, with scarves undulating down to the feet, backed by a pierced flaming mandorla, flanked by a pair of smaller bodhisattvas and two monks each standing on lotus petals, all atop a box platform pierced by serrated aprons (6)

Condition

The Avalokitesvara figure's mandorla has been restuck at the central horizontal point. It has expected wear to the gilding. The figure on the crown has been worn away. All figures and the platform with ample traces of encrustation.
