Compare two large gilt-bronze Guanyin figures in the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, the first with cyclical date linking it to either 1472 or 1512, and the second with almost identical jeweled necklaces, pronounced bridge of the nose, and other facial features, to which a late fifteenth century attribution is suggested, illustrated in Chinese, Korean and Japanese Sculpture in the Avery Brundage Collection, Tokyo, 1974, nos.157 & 158.
