Condition

The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This painting has been fairly recently restored and could be hung in its current state. The canvas is unlined yet there are two patches on the reverse addressing tears in the canvas. One patch is situated above the brown and white dog's head and the other is in the center of the right side, situated approximately an inch or two from the right edge. The tear on the left runs approximately three by one and a half inches and the other on the right is roughly the same dimensions. Both of these are fairly complex tears. Nonethless, the methods of restoration are good and there are no other retouches or abrasions to the picture. Despite the obvious structural damages the picture is in healthy condition.
