STRUCTURE This picture is relined and in very good clean condition with fine detail and rich colouring. There is craquelure in the sky and some small areas of lifting paint which we would recommend localised treatment to. The picture is otherwise ready to hang. UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT there are scattered flecked retouchings but these appear to be largely cosmetic infillings to craquelure. There is also a small area of retouching in the foliage in the lower right corner which may have been made to repair a hole. The retouchings have been well executed. FRAME This picture is contained in a moulded plaster frame.
