Description

  • height of teapot: 14cm., 5½in
comprising: a teapot, milk jug, sugar bowl and spoon and tea-strainer, all finely chased with flowers, foliage and bugs on a red lacquer ground, the hinged lid of the teapot surmounted with a bug finial, scroll handle issuing from the head of a fish, mother-of-pearl bands, 84 standard

Condition

The red lacquer has been damaged and is flaking through. Large losses to the enamel body. The set would benefit from a careful clean, otherwise the gilding is in good condition.
