Condition

The canavs has an old relining. There is a layer of dicoloured varnish. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals areas of retouching along the edges and the sky and further spots of retouching scattered in places. Held in a modern gold painted plaster frame with a few losses. Unexamined out of frame.
