- three hounds
- signed in Cyrillic t.l.
- oil on board
- diameter: 24cm., 9½in.
Provenance
The Collection of the Danish Consul, George Bech (1875-1951)
Condition
The board is slightly bowed. There is a layer of very discoloured varnish and some spots of paintloss to the eye of the dog on the left and a few very minor spots elsewhere. There are some very fine lines of craquelure in places. Examination nder uv reveals some scattered flecks of old retouching. We would recommend a surface clean (Hamish Dewar has quoted 500GBP+VAT) which would bring out the originla pale blue background. Held in a square velvet frame with gold painted wooden trim. Some losses to the mouldings. Unexamined out of frame.
