Description

  • height: 16cm., 6¼in
modelled by the artist and painted by Elena Danko, depicting two figures, one draped in purple fabric with an owl and a black cat and representing night, the other wrapped in gold and holding a sunflower representing daylight, with impressed and blue manufactory marks dated 1927, and artist's cypher  

Condition

There is rubbing to the paintwork, some very minor chips to the right foot of the figure representing night. Further wear to the silvering and gilding. Otherwise in apparent good condition.
