The panel is split vertically in two places and is supported by two horizontal struts on the reverse. The cracks have resulted in paint loss revealing the gesso. There are further chips to the edges. The gilt has rubbed and tarnished with crude overpainting to the halo and wings near the centre. There is raised craqulure in places mostly near the splits. The icon is in fragile condition and would benefit from restoration. We would advise propsective buyers to view.
