Condition
The panel is bowed. UV light reveals a large restored crack running from the middle of the lower edge to the centre of the panel, approximately 29 cm long. Patches of overpainting are visible to the naked eye to the centre top, the Evangelist's right knee, the upper right corner and to the raised border. There is craquelure throughout. The gilt to the halo is worn and restored.
