Condition

In overall in good condition with minor losses to the enamel detailed below. Minor losses to the enamel on the upper register, most significantly on the right hand leaf section , approximately 1cm long, consolidated. A further restored section on the central panel on the lower left border. Very minor chips to the foliate section on the right panel at the top. A more significant enamel loss on the upper right corner of the outer doors, approximately 1cm long. Minor losses to the enamel throughout, overall these do not detract from the appearance of the piece. The gilding is lacking and tarnished in places and bears evidence of cleaning over the years. The support pin to the upper right hinge is lacking. The paintings are in overall good condition with minor signs of wear. The piece would benefit from a professional clean. The case is quite worn on the underside, revealing the wood at the edges, otherwise in apparent good condition. This is a rare and remarkable piece.
