toned, signed by the photographer in pencil in the margin, annotated 'G' and numbered in unidentified hands in pencil on the reverse, matted, framed, 1954-59 (Fárová, p. 316)
Provenance
Acquired by the present owners from Galerie zur Stockeregg, Zurich, 2002
Condition
This slightly olive-toned contact print, on double-weight paper with a slight surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. The corners are bumped and slightly chipped. There is edge rubbing at the top, right, and left edges.
In raking light, faint silvering, appropriate for a print of this age, is visible at the periphery. Also visible in high raking light are three slightly raised linear impressions 2 to 3 1/2 inches long. Two are parallel and at the right center area of the print, and one is in the lower left quadrant. These are not apparent under normal viewing conditions.
