Upon close inspection deposits of the photographer's original retouching are visible in the sitter's left sleeve and in the bottom right quadrant. The top edge of the print is lightly worn and there is a single insignificant chip on the left side. The mount, a thin gray board with a smooth surface, has pencil lines along the front edges as well as light age-darkening. The reverse of the mount is age-darkened around the periphery. There are two small circular deposits of adhesive residue at the top corners. The reverse of the print is annotated '6/4,' '62-72,' 'St 7 9/16 + 9 7/11' in an unidentified hand in pencil.
