Condition
The canvas has an old relining. The paint surface is in fair condition and is under a thick layer of discoloured varnish. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals extensive retouchings and strengthenings to the darker areas of paint. There are several localised areas of restored damage upper left. Offered in a later plaster frame which is chipped in places.
