Condition
Both canvases have been relined. The paint surfaces are largely secure with fine cracquelure throughout which is secured by the dirty and yellowed varnish. Both paintings appear to have some scattered retouchings although thorough inspection under ultraviolet light is impeded by the varnish. There is a small restored hole of approximately 1 cm in diameter to the lower left of the latter painting on the church. Offered in wood and plaster gilt frames with some knocks and paint losses.
