Condition

The canvas has been relined. There are some areas of paint loss upper centre and lower right and some areas of abrasion. There are some discoloured retouchings and restoration, notably an old restored scratch/tear upper right. There are some further retouchings in the face, background and arms. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals further strengthening, for example to the eyes. Offered in a modern wood frame in fair condition but which has suffered some wear.
