Condition
The support consists of two horizontal panels joined together and secured by a strip of linen. This join is visible on the front of the painting. Other than this the paint surface is generally secure although somewhat abraded and subsequently retouched in areas. Inspection under UV light reveasl scattered retouchings throughout, most notably to the sky and along the panel join. Offered in an elaborate wood and plaster frame with some losses and restoration.
