  • The Crucifixion
  • tempera on panel, gold ground, in a painted tabernacle frame

Condition

The single panel is flat and uncradled. There is a vertical split roughly along the centre and this can be seen on the front of the panel. There are some scattered areas of paint loss, notable lower centre and along the split. There are some retouchings to the paint throughout, and these are visible under UV light, particularly to the outlines of the figures. Offered in a painted wooden carved tabernacle frame which has suffered some knocks and paint losses.
