Condition

The colours in the catalogue illustration are a little pale. The canvas has a firm relining and the background is rather worn and quite significantly strengthened. There are numerous retouchings throughout, notably in the red drape, Galatea's face and chest, Cupid's legs and the background. Offered with a part carved and gilt wood frame, in good condition. AF*
