A study of a leopard lying down was sold in these rooms, 29 January 1996, lot 62. The animal appears in a similar pose in a cage in one of Domenico's Punchinello drawings, sold London, Sotheby's, 6 July 1967, lot 37 and now in the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa.
